{{ Felt like making a big post XD

A healthy young stallion made his way boldly through the tall and whispy grass. Many months had passed since the arrival of this little bundle of so-called 'darkness' and not all was as it seemed with the poor Prince. As each day went by his Dam grew increasingly worried of what future her son had in the lands of Darkness or any lands at that matter. So far they had managed to scrape a living by seeking refuge in the lands of the Earth but without the guidence of a Father Alazarin was straying ever more so from his path. His dark coat had grown in handsomely over his muscular build and had lost that fluffy brown feeling. His mane and tail had grown into luxuriously long ebony/pearly flags and some strong legs had replaced those of his wobbly foal self but some things remained the same. His eyes of softened wood remained ever so young in his eyes so walking alongside his Dam he felt more than alive.
Suicide followed her foal quietly while he searched for a pleasant place to settle for the night. The night birds were calling loudly to each other in the distance and Suicide and Alazarin remained only in their own company. Looking over her offsoring a guilty ghost of the past floated over her giving her the chills... she had not yet come to tell him of his roots due to her dislike of her past. A lot had been taken from the mare over the past two and a half years and among some of the things was her no-regret life. Alazarin stopped them and turned to nuzzle his mother comfortingly, he knew that there was something bothering her over the past few days but so far shge had refused to spill anything. He was guessing all of thsi moving around was making her feel upset and incontent. he wanted to find her somewhere to settle before headed off on his own. After all, he owed his life to her.
"Mother I think we should stop here for the night. Already you seem tired and we have not even ventured far. What's more is I can tell when you are keeping things from me... You know you can tell me anything." he added smoothly as Suicide averted his gaze. He nipped her softly to get her attention as he always did when he was growing up. She looked at him with a tired expression then with her head low she took several steps away from him and said;
"It feels like this recently... You sounded just like your Sire for a moment there, it scared me and I'm not an easily scared mare." She took a pause and slwoly moved her head in his direction, still looking at the ground. "But you're nothing like him. I'm thankful for that. Al, I've done a lot of bad things I've come to regret over the past few years but never have I regretted having you as a son. Nonetheless there are things that must be said... It's better you find them out from me now." she said clearly when she finally brought her eyes up to his. This tone of voice made his heart leap - she had never talked much about his father ever since they had come here other than a brief comment when he was four months old when he bit at one of the foals and one of the Dams called him his 'father's son'.
He was a statue as his beloved mother told him of her shameful past, her meeting of his father and what happened after that. Her tough pregnancy and how she was forced to raise him alone after his father brutally rejected him for being too scrawny and Light. He had never really thought of himself as a Dark before, His mother was now a neautral and her past shocked him but he did not hate her for his. Seeing her now and how much she was shamed by her wrongdoings was more than enough punnishment for her. She was a shadow of what she used to be. "... You can hate me if you want to but I want you, have always wanted you to know the truth but you've always been too young and I've always been scared that I might loose you... I'm sorry Alazarin."
"Don't be mother, the past will never be changed but we do have the future to look forward too. I do not hate you... I just wish you told me sooner."
----
Three weeks later, Alazarin was now on his own. No, he had not abandoned his mother rather he had done her a favor. After deciding to go his own way she managed to find a herd who agreed to take her in for as long as she wanted leaving him to do as he please. Since finding out about his tragic past it hasn't phased him much at all- in fact he might even be stronger than he was before. Quiet and powerful, handsome and intelligent oh yes! This was his time to shine out from the rest and possibly start anew somewhere if only he could find some place to start. Pawing the ground anxiously with his hooves he burst into a quick fit of canter then stopped only when he came to a small stream. He could have went through it easily but there was something not quite right about this setting...
